Columbus, OH – The Nigerian Diaspora Organization Americas – Ohio (NIDOA-Ohio) joined forces with over 30 other organizations to bring the vibrant Columbus African Festival to life at Genoa Park on July 27th and 28th, 2024. This two-day celebration of African culture saw NIDOA-Ohio members playing key roles both behind the scenes and on the ground.
Beyond assisting with the festival’s organization, NIDOA-Ohio members volunteered their time to ensure a successful event. In a demonstration of community partnership, NIDOA-Ohio collaborated with Asian American Community Services to provide Hepatitis B screenings for attendees of African descent. This initiative underscored the organization’s commitment to the health and well-being of the community.
